Randy Roland

2013 National CASA Board Member of the Year

Program: CASA of Collin County
Location: McKinney, TX

As a CASA of Collin County board member and as assistant chief of police, Randy has dedicated his life to the safety and well-being of his fellow Texans.

Randy said that he joined the CASA of Collin County board after realizing that in law enforcement, they “put the bad guys away, but never see what happens to the victims.” He recognized that serving the CASA program would allow him to focus on aiding innocent victims.

Randy’s leadership and vision have helped maintain CASA of Collin County’s ability to serve 100 percent of the county’s children in the child welfare system. In roles including board member, president and treasurer, he has played an instrumental role in promoting the program’s stability, growth and development.

A long-time resident of Collin County, Randy has forged relationships with influential community and business leaders that have helped the CASA program increase its visibility, diversify and build its revenue stream, and become more influential on the state and national levels. During his tenure, CASA of Collin County completed a successful $1.2 million capital campaign, purchased and renovated an office building and remained a healthy and fiscally sound organization despite a tumultuous economy.

Randy’s legacy of excellence, dedication, strategic vision and compassion will sustain CASA of Collin County as it continues to serve the growing needs of the community.
